Combined Speed-Direction Anemometer
The CombiSD is an instrument that combines sensors for measuring both wind speed and direction in a single unit. In addition to its advantages in terms of robustness, lightness, overall dimensions and lower cost with respect to systems using two separate units, installation and wiring are also simplified and easier to carry out. The CombiSD speed-direction anemometer is available in versions with direct output from the main sensors or with output using normalised signals. The DNA022 model, with direct output and low energy consumption, and destined for use in systems with limited energy supplies such as those fed via solar panels, is of particular interest. Each measurement system is composed of a sensor chosen from the VERSIONS table, the two rotors DNA024 and DNA027, and a shielded cable DWA… chosen from the SPARES AND ACCESSORIES table. The MG2251 connector must be used in cases where the user wishes to make up his own cable.

a,b = Peak elongations with respect to the final angle, and in the same direction of the latter.
ta , tb = Times during which the two peak elongations were encountered.
l = Product of wind speed and the time interval between the two peak elongations.
The assembly is composed of the transducer, the moving parts (DNA007, DNA017) and the cable (DWA...).
The sensor can be mounted on 50 mm ø meteorological masts or towers, or on the BVA304 portable tripod using the BVA307 mounting fixture.
